| Baltimore Boychoir Festival - 2005
The Maryland State Boychoir served as the host for the 6th Annual Baltimore Boychoir Festival and was pleased to have Dr. James Litton serve as Guest Director. This year's festival took place May 13 and 14, 2005 with a concluding concert on the 14th at Kraushaar Auditorium on the campus of Goucher College. Nearly 300 choristers from across the United States came together for a weekend dedicated to strengthening their skills, deepening their sense of community, and celebrating their art!
Before an almost sold-out auditorium, the Keystone State Boychoir, the Newark Boys Chorus, the Young People's Chorus of New York City - Young Men's Chorus, the Chicago Boy Choir, the Maryland Boy Choir and our own Maryland State Boychoir, captivated the crowd, bringing them to thunderous applause and to several standing ovations. As a special treat, the premiere of a brand-new commissioned work, Walking on Air, was directed by its author, Malcolm Daglish.
